The L. S. Starrett Company (1880) “World's Greatest Toolmaker” is conducting a job search for a successful and experienced Factory Sales Representative for our Tool Division (Precision Tools, Gages, Measuring Instruments).

Job Description
• Find, develop and sell precision measuring solutions

• Build and maintain beneficial relationships with distribution

• Increase annual sales to targeted goal

• Schedule and work distributor sales meetings, shows and customer events

• Develop a strong understanding of Starrett's competitive advantages

• Constantly strive to replace the competition

Requirements:
• Prior work experience in manufacturing: 5 years

• Working familiarity with key manufacturing

• Technical aptitude, measurement proficiency

• Thick skin, able to deal with the rejection inherent in a sales position

•  Experience working with or for an industrial distributor

• Strong work ethic, self motivated to achieve goals

• Computer skills; Word, Excel and ACT

Pluses:
• College degree

• Dimensional tolerancing experience would be a strong plus
