All in a Day's Work
Medium and large manufacturing facilities usually have a special department or person that is responsible for general maintenance and repair (M&R). This function requires the ability to solve a wide variety of problems, be highly versatile, know what to do, and do it quickly. For the M&R person the unexpected is all in a day's work.

To do this job well the M&R person usually relies on a fairly small number of highly versatile tools. For many jobs, the reciprocating saw (“recip”) is an essential part of the M&R toolbox. Recips are versatile and get the job done quickly, particularly important when the task at hand is urgent as it so often is with M&R work.

As is the case with all power tools that cut, the recip is only as good as its blade. Even the best saw will not work well with poor quality or worn out blades – the way to get the most out of  these saws is to start with a high quality, long lasting blade.

Starrett Recip Blades
Starrett offers two comprehensive recip lines – King Cut® Demolition Blades and Fastcut™ Multi-Purpose Blades. Choices of length, width, pitch, and shape combine for a selection of 14 King Cut and 18 Fastcut blade types, each available in packages of 2, 5, 20 and 50 blades.

The Durable & Long Lasting King Cut
The versatile King Cut is made for tough cutting through a variety (or combination) of materials, and easily handles the most demanding applications. Built with bi-metal construction for exceptional strength and extended blade life, its vacuum hardened HSS tooth edge delivers rapid cutting action.

King Cut is available in 6", 8", 9" and 12" lengths, .035", .050" and .063" thicknesses and 6-10 and 10-14 variable and 18 straight pitch TPI.

Fastcut -- The Right Blade for the Job
Where King Cut is tough and versatile, Fastcut blades do an excellent job in a variety of specialized applications. Where King Cut is stiff, many Fastcut blades offer greater flexibility that can follow moderate curves when necessary.

Fastcut is available as a straight shape blade in 4", 6" and 12" lengths, .035" and .050" thicknesses and 6, 10, 14, 18 and 24 straight pitch TPI.

Fastcut is also available with a tapered geometry that works well for plunge cutting. They are available in 6", 9" and 12" lengths, .050" thickness, 6-10 and 10-14 variable as well as 3 and 6 straight pitch TPI.

Special Purpose Recips
In addition to King Cut and Fastcat blades, Starrett offers several Special Purpose Blades; two for Scroll Cutting (12 and 24 straight pitch T.P.I.), one for Plaster Cutting, and one Carbide Grit Blade. Specialized blades are available in 2-, 5- and 20-blade packages.

M&R, Jobsite & Home Workshop
With its breadth of sizes, shapes and specifications, Starrett recip blades are perfect for the wide variety of tasks faced by the M&R person. For that matter, they are equally useful to the construction pro or
do-it-yourself home user.
